Would it be socially acceptable to turn my china hutch into a trophy case?

My favorite hobby is finally earning some trophies. I don't want to pack them away, and I don't have room for a trophy case. I'd rather pack away the china that I never use and display the trophies in my gorgeous cherry wood antique hutch. I know my parents are going to flip out the next time they visit, and I'm not sure if my friends will think I'm bragging by giving my trophies such a prominent spot. What's your opinion?
