Can you tell me who an unsung Black History Pioneer is?

Every knows about Don King, Quincy Jones, MLK Jr, Farrakhan, Malcolm X, Al Sharpton, Iman, Jesse Jackson, Harriet Tubman, Garret Morgan, Mary McLeod Bethune, Rosa Parks, Johnny Cochrane and a host of others past and present who have made their mark on the history of Black America. In a variety of ways they have shaped our society through their individual actions and involvement in group activities. Next year I would like to propose that school districts p out a list of at least 100 people who are not so well known or whose face has not been on television within the past five years so that more than basic knowledge encircles tomorrow's leader on a continuing struggle. Their are still plenty of firsts that are happening today. Do you know about any of them is someone is your community a unknown pioneer? Please share as I would like a minimum of 100 names with a line or two about the field that they are in. I can do the additional research myself. Thanks
