Shy gurl that wont admit she like me?

ok so its like this. there is this shy gurl i like.. she is a little younger but that doesnt matter. iv noticed her last monday and asked my friend who is her best friend on the bball team to help me out.. she began small and introduced us and stuff.. then i got impatient after a couple of days and told my friend to say w.e she wants.. so she asks her on the bus and the gurl jus puts her face to the side and wont answer .. then she asked her yesterday and she keps tellin her ill tell u later and stuff.. wat shouldi do? give up? and btw its really hard 2 talk 2 this gurl cuz i have 2 always start the convos and i dont always see her.. i say hi wen ever i can tho.. plz help im so confused
