When hyperventilation causes a patient to exhale large amts of CO2, the blood pH rises in a condition called?

C) When a person hyperventilates, he loses more C02 than the tissues can produce, and consequently there is an increase in the ratio of bicarbonate concentration in the blood which raises the pH. This is called respiratory alkalosis and is the most common acid-base abnormality observed in patients who are critically ill.
