Why won't any Christians answer my "eternal torture" question?

I previously posed the following question to Christians: If you could torture anyone eternally, would you do so? This is exactly what their God is supposed to do to nonbelievers. It has been over an hour and I have yet to receive a response. Could it be that even devout believers, deep down inside, realize that such a proposition is insanely sadistic and completely contrary to reasonable morality? Could it be that Christians sense the truth -- that they are far more humane and sensible than the God they claim to worship? The lack of response is very suspicious.
