Can i claim my child on taxes if i'm on disiblity?

my ex-girlfriend and i have a daughter together (we were never married) and i have full custody of her. I had 2 blown discs in my back, had surgery which was over a year ago and I have been put on disiblity. From what she is saying is i can't claim my daughter because i did not have any income and didnt work a job. But i have income from disibilty and i have full custody even tho i havent worked in over a year.The money i get from disiblity is not taxable.Can i claim her even tho i didnt acually work
