Computer says "No Audio Output Device is Installed" and won't play anything?

I have exactly the same, vista 2 years old! Mine did this to me a couple of times and I just restarted the computer and it goes away. It hasn't happened again for a few months now. I don't know why it does it but try restarting it or shutting it down and restarting.
